Pregnancy Highlights:

How Far Along: 35 Weeks

Size of baby: About 18 inches - the size of a honeydew melon - and weighs around 5.25 lbs

Total Weight Gain/Loss: Gained 26 lbs

Maternity Clothes: Except for certain jammies (which are gettin' preeeety snug!) & some of Collin's t-shirts I am all maternity these days.

Gender: It's a GIRL!

Movement: She still moves a lot. I'm expecting her movement to slow down soon since she's getting so big but so far she's remained fairly active. She moves most late at night and early in the morning but she definitely makes her presence known throughout the day too. Her movements are so strong that she frequently causes me to jump. We're worried this might be an indication that she's going to be our wild child! :) Cayden likes to put his hand on my tummy but as soon as she moves, he immediately jerks his hand away and acts freaked out. He is in for the shock of his life when she enters our home next month. We keep telling him that she's coming out soon but he's 2 so even though he talks about how she's "coming out", we know he has no clue.

Sleep: Not too good and getting worse. The increased weight gain is putting pressure on my hips and between that and HORRIFIC heartburn and the nonstop trips to the bathroom I am constantly exhausted the next day. Well, that and the whole growing a person thing is pretty tiring too!

What I miss: Lots of things about not being pregnant but since I'm in the home stretch, I am trying to enjoy the things that I love about being pregnant. Especially since this may be my last time doing this.

Cravings: I have had a thing for lime flavored things lately. And I ate a pepperoni sandwich the other day. Random and seems weird to me but I posted something about it on Facebook and other people don't seem to think it's that weird so maybe it's not? It was just pepperoni and bread and it tasted sooo good. Ha!

Symptoms: Just about every symptom in the book. My feet are really starting to swell and even my hands and fingers are getting in on the sausage like action.

Best Moment this week: Getting lots done on the nursery. It's really coming together and I love the way it's turning out!

I am getting really behind on blogging and skipped posting last week. I had a doctors appointment last Thursday - everything is fine. I had only gained 1 lb since the 2 weeks before and they were impressed with that. I made up for it and gained the allotted 1 lb per week this week. If baby gains 1/2 lb per week at this rate I would like to know where the other half pound is going! I will get a sonogram next week to check baby's position and get a weight estimate. I'm eager to hear her weight and to make sure that she is indeed a girl. I know it's goofy because her 20 week ultrasound photos were very clear that she is indeed a SHE but I would still like that reassurance. Her room has quite a bit of pink and lots of flowers and it makes me just a wee bit nervous! I will post after that appointment, with a belly picture, and will try to update soon on just life in general. Cayden is so fun these days and I really need to be better about writing things he does and says down.
